Service to Others Team Contact the Service to Others Team Programs and Responsibilities of Service to Others Team In ministering to others, the Team hopes that St. Peter’s can continue to be known as a congregation where people are involved in meaningful ways. In doing so, opportunities develop to deepen our fellowship with one another and with nonmembers who are attracted to the work we do. We hope to personalize the needs of others and to put an identity and a face on those we help. In doing so, our goal is to help God mend the world. We are aware of the many worthwhile demands made on our congregation and we try to avoid donor fatigue or becoming spread too thin. Programs and projects are periodically reviewed for effectiveness and appropriateness in order to be judicious in using the gifts and graces of the congregation. At this time, the congregation’s programs and projects through the Team are: 1. Altenheim: a long term care facility on the South side of Indianapolis 2. Crisis intervention: To provide food certificates and related emergency aid 3. Cuba congregation and mission Read our newest article about our visit to Cuba. 4. As you can see, the Team is ambitious in its programs and optimistic about the support of the congregation.
