Extend Your Hand to the World with Upcoming Exodus Refugee Sponsorship 

Burma, Iraq, Somalia, Liberia, Eritrea, Democratic Republic of the Congo.  All countries home to significant humanitarian crises in 2008.  All countries left behind by about 450 civilians thanks to Exodus in 2008.  Exodus, an Indianapolis refugee immigration service impacted by our recent generosity and past sponsorships, needs St. Peter’s again in 2009.  This month I am putting together a refugee resettlement plan to sponsor a family and guide them toward self-sufficiency.  To do this, I need assistance with the following: the airport greeting, housing, material goods (clothing, furnishings, and household items), food, registration for school and English classes, transportation to medical providers and social service agencies, and assistance with employment.  If you were disappointed in 2008 with the lack of serviceable IHN (Inter-Faith Hospitality Network) families, you are invited to join me in providing sanctuary to a family with this resettlement ministry. Exodus Refugee Needs Supplies

Exodus is currently receiving many refugee families – well over 50 families a month.  I have listed the most needed items below.   They can be delivered to the new office located at 1125 Brookside Ave., Suite C9 46202 or they will pick up your donations.  Contact Danny Gardner at 921-1992 or E-mail him at dgardner@exodusrefugee.org.  Barb James would also be happy to take the smaller items to the Exodus office if they are brought to church today.  Thank you for caring!
