Make Your Holiday Memorable and Grounded in Service
As in years past, we will return to Washington UCC for their Christmas Program this December. Washington UCC makes available for each child a new outfit (complete with underwear and socks), hat & gloves, a hygiene kit, a blanket, and a small assortment of toys. Families also receive a food box. Donations to this worthy cause will be part of St. Peter’s Giving Tree this year. Each year, people talk with us about how to make their holiday charitable giving experiences more hands-on, and Christmas in Cincinnati is a perfect way to do so. You’ve heard the stories; now become a part of this two-way mission; we give to Washington UCC, but we receive far more than we give. Just ask anyone who’s been on a trip in years past! A group from St. Peter’s will travel to Cincinnati on the afternoon of Friday, December 19th and return to Carmel on Sunday evening, December 21st. During this time, we will transform Washington UCC into a store at which parents can shop for their children’s Christmas gifts. If you are interested in participating in this year’s Christmas Program, please contact Theresa at Theresa@stpeterscarmel.org or sign up in Fellowship Hall. In order to ensure that we have enough adult chaperones for our youth, please indicate the days/times that you will be joining the group. All are welcome to participate in this experience, but we ask that children in 6th grade or younger be accompanied by a parent.
