We  believe God’s love is for everyone – regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, political views or income. Our church is open and affirming.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTORS

As the pastors of this unique faith community, we care deeply about the people and creation around us. Our congregation is as vibrant and inviting as the Native Habitat that surrounds our building and as bold as the solar panels on our roof. We hope you will join us on this adventure we call faith.

Each of us, exactly as we are--and as we are still becoming-- are named beloved by the One who created us. All are welcome as together we endeavor to be and create the Kin-dom of God. We listen deeply for what the Spirit is calling us to be and to do in this world. We wrestle with questions more than we offer answers. We like it that way; we believe Jesus did the same thing!

May you feel the presence of the Spirit and remember that you are loved as you explore both faith and doubt.  Perhaps your journey will lead you to Carmel, IN. If it does, we hope to meet you.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Come and get involved!

  • Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday, November 4th.  Don’t forget to turn your clocks BACK one hour on Saturday night!
  • All Saints’ Sunday will be celebrated on November 4, this offers us a time to remember those who have died within the past twelve months. We will offer an opportunity in worship to light a candle and speak the name(s) of those in your life who have died in the last year. Please know that the staff and leadership of St. Peter’s are praying for this important time of remembering.
  • Youth Group meets this Sunday, November 4, 12:30-2:00p.m.  The topic is “My Faith: Sexuality & Gender.”  Lunch will be provided.
  • Prayer Station: This month (November) bring in a canned food item to share with a local pantry.  We wish that there wasn’t a need for food in our community (or anywhere, really), but the need is still great.  Prayer is sometimes service.  See how it feels to bring a can or two a week… or a case or two… or just bring what you can on the Sunday(s) that you are here.  Generosity is prayer.
  • There will be a special combined offering in November for Cornerstone (Formerly Uspiritus), located in Louisville and Crossroad Child and Family Services located in Ft. Wayne. Cornerstone and Crossroad both work with troubled youth and their families. Don Kaufman has served on the Boards of Cornerstone and Crossroad and attests to the excellence of their programming through his personal experiences. Please give as generously as you can to support their efforts during the month of November by marking specific donations to these organizations as Cornerstone/Crossroads.
