Caregiving Team The responsibilities of the Caregivers Team
are as follows: to welcome visitors into the life of the church, respond
to the needs of those members who are ill or unable to share in worship
through card and flower ministry, visitations to those in need, and
provide transportation to Sunday services to those who need it.
We also provide food for families during important or difficult
transitions.
College Care Packages - Coming Soon Doesn’t it feel like we just the school year? It’s hard to believe we've already had fall break and that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It's already time to start planning for sending care packages to the St. Peter's college students. We need bakers to provide some homemade goodies to go along with the caffeine, popcorn and various stress-relievers we'll be sending. We intend to get the packages to them the week before finals begin. Please join us on Sunday, December 8th at 1:00pm to assemble the care packages. There are 12 students so we'll need shoeboxes to fill, baked goods, microwave popcorn, candy, coffee and tea bags, hot chocolate packs, silly putty and silly string, stress balls, etc. Look for a sign-up sheet in Fellowship Hall. Please contact the church office if you have any questions or suggestions.
Offer a Meal to a St. Peter’s Family with a New Baby A number of St. Peter’s babies will arrive before the end of the year. It is our tradition to provide a meal to our families with newborns. Volunteers to provide meals are always welcome, as our volunteers allow us to keep this ministry going. Your participation would be greatly appreciated and truly benefits St. Peter’s church family as we continue to grow. If you would be interested in participating in this very important ministry, please contact our Newborn Meals Coordinator, Barb Irwin at or 774-3374 or mirwinjr@sbcglobal.net.
Drivers Needed Are you willing to take a detour on your way to or from Sunday worship service on occasion? The Caregiving Team is seeking to organize a pool of drivers who are willing to provide transportation for Michael Lakins (who resides at Rural Health Care Center). If you can serve in that capacity at any level, please contact the office. Additionally, if you are aware of other church members who are in need of transportation to Sunday worship, please advise the church office.
Childcare Opportunities Providing childcare at events and classes allows our members who are parents the freedom to attend all the while knowing their children are in good hands. We have opportunities for dedicated childcare providers at various times. Some events include Women & the Word on Thursday mornings, adult evening classes, meetings, and Contemplative Worship Service. If you enjoy working with children and would be interested in a paid childcare position, please contact Theresa at 846-6882. Your help is greatly appreciated!
